10 ways to make Canada more senior friendly |

25 % of the Canadian population  will be "senior" very shortly.  Toss in about the same population of persons with a visual, audio or mobility impairment and you have a very large % of the population.  They are all consumers and future employees.  Wow.  Are we as a nation ready for this?  If you are a buisness owner / hiring manager would it not make sense to allow them all access?  It does not deny access to able persons.  Think about it.  What can you do to make your area accessible?

Minor barriers like stock or product in the middle of an isle can be easily removed.  Stairs can be altered with ramps, lifts or stair climbers.  If you are in a public place and you notice a barrier please report this to management, if you work in a place report it to your supervisor or move the barrier if possible.  If that does not resolve the problem within adequate time please report the barrier to your municipal "Accessibility Advisory Committee".   We all thank you!  Lets make Canada 100% accessible!
